Lightsheer® Laser Hair Removal
For many of us, hair removal is a part of everyday life. Whether you choose shaving or waxing, electrolysis or hair removal cream, the options can be painful, messy, and ineffective, as well ad time consuming.
LightSheer® laser hair removal is different. It uses clinically proven diode laser technology to permanently remove unwanted hair, comfortably and effectively.

IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?
LightSheer® is generally suitable for all skin tones and for all areas and types of hair. However, laser hair removal may not be right for everyone, and does carry some risks. LightSheer® isn’t suitable if you have an active infection or inflammation; viral, fungal or bacterial disease; active cold core; or open wound or abrasion in the area you want to treat. Risks may include changes to skin pigmentation and texture, or burns. Always speak to your treatment provider, who’ll be able to help you decide whether it’s right for you.
Laser Genesis
Laser genesis works by gently heating the dermal layer of the skin which stimulates collagen re-growth. This new production of collagen helps to smooth fine-line wrinkles, improve uneven texture, decrease pore size and lighten excessive redness. It can also help with acne scarring. You can expect to see subtle yet consistent results after each treatment.
The treatment results are often subtle. On average, you may require four to six treatments in order to achieve optimal results. Every patient’s condition and needs vary, so more information can be given after a consultation with a laser specialist. Each treatment takes approximately 30-45 minutes.
While most patients report few side effects, the most common is a slight redness that disappears within a few hours after treatment. The laser specialist will discuss more of the risks and benefits of the procedure during the consultation.
It is best to avoid tanning for at least 2 weeks before treatment. It may be necessary to temporarily stop certain skin care products.
IPL PHOTO GENESIS

IPL (Intelligent Pulsed Light) is a laser light that offers a new approach to skin rejuvenation. This procedure offers the advantage of improving skin tone and surface imperfections associated with aging and photodamage. The laser heats up the pigmented brown or red spots that cause the areas to fade over time and either disappear or lighten significantly. Any area of your skin that has sun damage, age spots, or dark freckles can be treated. Most common areas are the face, neck, upper chest and arms.
Usually 3-5 treatments are sufficient to see results. Additional treatments may be recommended especially for excessively sun damaged skin.
When the pulse of light is delivered, patients will experience a mild pinching or stinging sensation and will see a bright light despite wearing lead eye protectors and having eyes closed. Following treatment your skin will feel warm. This can last 2-4 hours but can be minimized with cooling methods.
Immediately following treatment, brown spots will start to darken and your skin may appear slightly red. Make-up can be applied to cover dark spots and redness. In rare instances, more increased swelling or blistering may occur. During consultation with a laser specialist the risks and benefits can be further discussed.
Within one to three weeks, the darkened spots will flake off and fade. Diffused redness (rosacea) will decrease and your complexion and tone will improve. New brown spots and redness may re-appear with new sun damage; however, they too can be treated. Remember to always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage. Rosacea is chronic and cannot be cured with any laser treatment; however, its appearance can be greatly improved.
FACIAL REJUVENATION
Facial rejuvenation combines the tonal effects of IPL with the collagen stimulating skin tightening of Laser Genesis and gives you the complete package. By combining these modalities we can improve on 2 of the most problematic consequences of sun damage.

SPIDER VEIN REMOVAL

If you sometimes avoid showing your legs because you have spider veins — those small clusters of red, blue or purple veins that appear on the thighs, calves and ankles — you are not alone. It’s estimated that at least half of all women are bothered by this common cosmetic problem.
In some women, spider veins become noticeable in their early 20s. For others, the veins may not become obvious until they reach their 40s. Men get spider veins, too. However, usually they are concealed by hair growth on the leg.
A number of factors may contribute to the development of spider veins in the legs, including:
- Heredity
- Pregnancy
- Hormonal shifts
- Weight gain
Occupations or activities that require prolonged sitting or standing Pain is tolerable for most people, similar to a rubber band snap. Small veins normally disappear immediately; medium veins tend to blur and bruise as they absorb treatment for two to six weeks. Hydrocortisone cream and ice packs may be required for a short time.
